Q: I am a patient with more than 11years’ history of Type 1 Diabetes.
Recently, I was diagnosed with protein in urine along with high blood pressure.
My doctor just told me to lower my blood pressure and blood sugar. However, the
foam does not disappear at all. What should I do?
A: The protein in your urine is very likely to be caused by kidney damage. In
other words, your Diabetes may have developed into Diabetic Nephropathy.
Diabetic Nephropathy is a very common complication of Diabetes and it is also
the secondary leading cause of Renal Failure. However, most of the patients with
Diabetes just know Diabetic Foot, Heart Disease and other complications of
Diabetes, but do not know much about Diabetic Nephropathy. As a result, most of
them do not know they have renal damage until they have a lot of protein in
urine. At that time, the kidney damage at least has developed into stage 3 and
the conventional therapies have not use in reversing the renal function. The
long term high blood sugar has caused to serious glomerulosclerosis. Therefore,
the kidneys have lost their normal filtration function and can not prevent the
protein leakage into urine.
Therefore, to eliminate the protein in urine and recover the renal function
as well as control blood sugar, the patients should choose a therapy that is not
effective for the treatment of Diabetes and kidney disease. Here Immunotherapy
is recommended to the patients with Type 1 Diabetes along with protein in
urine.
Immunotherapys in cord blood are the most primitive Immunotherapy in body
with infinite multi-differentiation and regeneration abilities. Under right
condition, they can differentiate into new cells with the same characteristics
as the original cells and new cells with specialized function. In the treatment
of Diabetic Nephropathy, after they are infused into body, they can immigrate
into the pathological area for their homing ability. Afterwards, they can
differentiate into new cells to replace the islet cells and renal functional
cells to function. Moreover, the Immunotherapy also can release some growth
factors to stimulate the self-repairing of the impaired cells. As a result,
pancreas islet and kidney will improve their function greatly and even recover
normal. Once the kidney regain their normal function, the protein in urine will
disappear afterwards.
