Polycystic Kidney Disease is a genetic disorder that causes many cysts to
grow in the kidneys. These cysts grow out of control and may overrun the
kidneys. In time, the PKD cysts damage the kidneys and can eventually result in
Kidney Failure. Since there is no cure for the disease yet, but we can take
steps to help slow the process of kidney damage.
● Keep a healthy blood pressure
High blood pressure is common with PKD, and keeping a healthy blood pressure
may delay the progression of the disease and slow further damage of the kidneys.
Antihypertensive medications, such as angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE)
inhibitors, are often prescribed to control blood pressure.
● Eat a proper diet
Dietary changes can help improve the overall health of most people with this
disease, possibly preventing further deterioration.
1. Arrange a mostly low-fat diet which are rich in fruits and vegetables.
2. Get plenty of omega-3 fatty accids from sources such as cold water oily
fish (salmon, herring, mackerel, anchovies and sardines), flaxseed or linseed,
walnuts, etc.
3. Avoid excessive amounts of salt. This includes products like processed
foods, soups, chips, etc.
4. Avoid caffeine (coffee, chocolate, black tea, green tea, white tea, cola)
which causes dehydration, a common symptoms of PKD.
● Receive holistic remedy to treat PKD from the root
Kidney damage results from gradually enlarged cysts in or on the kidneys, so
the most effective way to slow or even prevent further progressing of the
disease is to adopt a standard treatment to shrink the cysts and repair the
kidney damage.
In China, a conservative therapy without pumping fluid or relieving pressure,
known as Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy is externally applied to treat PKD.
This therapy is created by the nation's top experts in our hospital based on 26
years' clinical practices in treating the disease. Specific formula of
Micro-Chinese Medicine varies with different illness condition.
