Can woman patients with IgA Nephropathy be pregnant? Not all woman patients
are unsuitable to be pregnant. Next is some advisement for them about what
condition is good for them to be pregnant and what conditions are bad for them
to be pregnant.
One, under doctors' direction, so long as their blood pressure and renal
function is normal, they can be pregnant and the successful rate of pregnancy is
more than 95 percent. So those woman patients can be a mom.
Second, if woman patients have those conditions as follows they are not
suggested to be pregnant:
One, patients with moderate Renal Insufficiency are not advised to be
pregnant because pregnancy may lead to renal function further getting worse.
Besides, when they are pregnant, fetus may bradygenesis and they may risk of
premature delivery.
Two, patients with Nephrotic Syndrome are not suggested to be pregnant
because they should not be pregnant when they take medicine. Moreover, low level
of plasma protein usually leads to bradygenesis of fetus and they may risk of
premature delivery.
Three, for patients with secondary kidney disease such as Lupus Nephritis,
when they are pregnant, it may aggravate illness. If patients with Diabetic
Nephropathy, when they are pregnant, it often leads to preeclampsia, premature
delivery and macrosomia, etc. Consequently they are not suitable to be
pregnant.
So for woman patients with kidney disease, they should ask the doctor whether
they can have a baby.
