Why a Kidney Patient still Throws up on Dialysis

While you are on dialysis, you may experience problems. Throwing up is one of the more common ones which may seen in about 5% to 15% of patients.

The reason of throwing up in patient on dialysis is usually related to hypotensive episodes. In this case, fluid is removed too rapidly or too much is removed. Prevention and treatment of hypotension (low blood pressure) is important. Patient can limit the fluid intake before treatment so as to prevent this problem. Besides, if this problem persist, treatment may include giving medication for throwing up.

In addition, this problem may be seen when patient has skipped dialysis treatment and have high urea levels.
