FSGS stands for Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis. It refers to the scarring of the kidneys. FSGS is not an easy disease to treat. If left untreated effectively, most patients with FSGS will eventually develop End Stage Renal Failure and require dialysis or kidney transplant.
