temperature. During this time our renal function is weakest, so a bit careless

out Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) patients mustn’t drink.
Researches have proved that the largest contraindicant for PKD patients is
liquor, especially the white spirit. The stimulation of liquor for kidney is
rather serious, it can directly stimulate the activity of polycystin, accelerate
the secretion of sac liquid and accelerate the growth of cysts.
The recover of PKD, renal cyst and other types of kidney disease needs a good
“surrounding” environment in human body. But often drinking will cause the
increase of blood pressure and drinking a lot will cause the lose of bound water
in cells, the hyperfunction of creatinine in muscle and the increase of Scr;
alcohol decomposition can generate acid substances and cause metabolic acidosis,
the symptoms of which include sickness, inappetence, deprementia and headache
etc; long-time drinking may cause anemia, platelet function disorder and various
haemorrhage. Drinking can also lead to intestinal malabsorption and nutritional
deficiency, which can cause the decrease of body utilization factor for vitamin
B1 and B2 and folic acid, the increase of elimination of vitamin B6. Besides,
drinking may cause hyperlipidaemia and atherosclerosis and etc. All of these
harms of drinking are disadvantageous for the recover of PKD patients.
In addition, drinking is harmful for kidney. Because drinking will influence
the nitrogen balance the in human body, increase the decomposing of protein and
increase the Urea nitrogen content in blood, all of these will aggravate the
burden of kidney. For healthy people, these are not big problem, but for
patients of PKD or renal insufficiency, there are the “lions in the way” of
disease recover.
So PKD patients had better stop drinking on considering the disease
conditions.
