Kidneys are important organs to our body. They can not only excrete extra fluid out of the body but also regulate electrolyte and PH balance. Some hormones also needed to be produced by kidneys. The first thing you should do is to drink much water. Drinking water can help to excrete metabolic wasters, dilute concentration of toxins in the kidneys, which help kidneys avoid to be damaged. It is even more important for the people with fever, because of the fever, the speed of metabolism will become faster than normal, resulting more produced wastes and toxins.

The second is never replace beverages of water. Over high blood pressure can do harm to kidneys. Caffeine in the beverages is usually cause blood pressure rise. Hence, it is better not to drink too much beverage and replace them with water.
The third one is to control blood pressure actively. With the more and more work press, patients with high blood pressure are becoming more and their age trends to be younger. High blood pressure is the second factor that causing kidney disease.

The fourth one is do not take too much salt. Salt is the most important factor to be blamed of over load of kidneys. About 95% of salt from diet is metabolized by kidney, then, taking too much salt will give kidneys more burden. In addition, the water, which is hard to be excreted because of too much salt in the body, will also put over burden on kidneys.

The fifth is to keep plenty of sleep. Sleep can relax some organs, including kidneys, if your sleep is not enough, thus, your kidneys can not get enough relax, thus, they will be damaged.
