How to Treat GFR 11 Caused by FSGS

Some people do not have any symptoms when they have FSGS. One patient told me,"it seems odd because I am feeling totally normal. There is only a small amount of protein in my urine. But now I was diagnosed with stage 5 kidney disease (kidney failure) caused by FSGS and my GFR is only 11." Maybe you are curious why he has a kidney failure but no symptoms.

Strong compensatory of kidney

Patients with FSGS may have no symptoms or discomfort anymore, for kidney have a strong compensatory. FSGS refers to focal segmental glomerulosclerosis which means that almost 50% of glomeruli have been damaged in the kidney. Most patients will have protein in urine or slight swelling in the eyelid and lower limbs. But they would have no uncomfortable feeling. Thereby many people cannot find their disease and would find it until their symptoms are very obvious. The study shows that more than 60% of them are diagnosed with stage 3 or stage 4 and 25% of them are diagnosed with stage 5. The patient above belongs to the latter one.

How to treat GFR 11 caused by FSGS?

In fact, GFR 11 is very little for people and it means that they only have 11% of kidney tissues to filter the toxic substances. So they should pay more care to their kidney health. FSGS will develop into these stage—renal failure. So people would be suggested to have dialysis or kidney transplant by their doctor. Are these therapies only for renal failure treatment? No.

In our hospital, micro-Chinese medicine Osmotherapy and Immunotherapy is used for patients with GFR 11 caused by FSGS. Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can clean the toxins and create a better internal environment for Immunotherapy. Immunotherapy will provide many healthy cells in order to repair the kidney tissues. So through this therapy, patients can have “new” kidneys. You can have a try and these therapies would give you no pain and side effect.
