Several Factors will Aggravate Diabetic Nephropathy

Generally, Diabetic Nephropathy is very concealing, which is not easy to be found until it has developed into the middle or late stage. It is hard to imagine what consequences it will bring if Diabetic Nephropathy continues deteriorating. Research shows that 25% patients with Diabetic Nephropathy will develop into Renal Failure in 6 years, 50% in 10 years and 75% will develop into end stage Renal Failure (ESRD)-Uremia. Then, what are the factors that lead to Diabetic Nephropathy and what can we do to prevent from it?
Firstly, hyperglycemia is the common factor that can accelerate the deterioration of Kidney Disease developed from Diabetes. When the blood sugar level is high, glomeruli will be in the state of hypertransfusion and high filtration, which will make the epithelial cells of glomerular fall off from the basilar membrane and aggravating the Kidney Disease. Therefore, patients with Kidney Disease developed from Diabetes should make efforts to keep the blood sugar under control.
Secondly, high blood pressure is also the common factor that can aggravate the illness condition, which is the most common to be seen in patients with Kidney Disease developed from Diabetes. The severe nephritis can lead to high blood pressure, while the high blood pressure can trigger the deterioration of Kidney Disease. Patients with Kidney Disease triggered by Diabetes should keep their blood pressure under 140/90mmhg.
Further more, high protein diet therapy is a dangerous factor which will aggravate the deterioration speed of Kidney Disease developed from Diabetes. High protein intake can burden the kidneys, so sufferers should control their intake of proteins. The intake of proteins should be based on the illness condition. When large amount of proteinuria and hypoproteinemia occur, we can properly increase the amount of proteins intake. The intake of proteins should be reduced properly if the renal failure occurs. But, Is Diabetes Kidney Disease Reversible?
Last, it is proved that smoking is a horrible . About 19% patients who smoke occur proteinuria, while the number is 8% for those who do not smoke.
To know those factors can be helpful for us to prevent the occurrence of Diabetic Nephropathy , while it is crucial to receive scientific and proper treatment. Only by receiving treatment can we get rid of it from its root and lead a happy life.
