Kidney failure is divided into 5 stages by the patient’s glomerular filtration rate (GFR). Stage 3 kidney failure is a special stage. In stage 1 and 2 kidney failure, patients have no obvious symptoms. The serum creatinine rises to 442 to 707μmol/L(5～8mg/dl). The creatinine clearance rate declines to 20 to 10 ml/min. BUN ( blood urea nitrogen) increased to 179～286mmol/L(50～80mg/dl).
In the fourth stage, GFR declines to 15 to 29 ml/(min•1.73㎡). The fifth stage of CKD is that GFR declines to less than ml/(min•1.73㎡). We can also say that patients develop into uremia stage. They can suffer from symptoms in nerve system, digestive system, blood system, and so on.
In stage 3 of Chronic Kidney Disease, the kidneys are damaged moderately. If the kidneys are restored very well, they will be able to prevent the disease from progressing into the next stage. However, the conventional therapy can not relieve symptoms, but not restoring the kidneys.
